As far as I am concerned, it is more likely that students are affected by their friends than they are influenced by their teachers in that not only have they a closer relationship with their friends, but also they spend more time with their friends. The first point which should be mentioned here is that students, most of the time, would make a better relationship with people having the same age as they. As all people know, the relationship between students and their teachers are a little formal, and for this reason, they are not able to rely on their teachers very easily. To illustrate, a student can tell a joke to one of his friends even if it is not so moral, such as sexy jokes, but he could not behave so in front of his teacher; as a result, they are willing to be nearby their friends, and they would be more affected by their friends. Another point which deserves some words here is that students spend a lot of their time with their friends than teachers. As it is very obvious, students spend just half a day in schools, but they spend all the rest time with their friends. For example, a student, in the morning, goes to school and then comes back to the home and after doing homeworks, goes to do activities such as gathering together with friends, playing games, and so forth. Considering this fact, it could be easily said that the more the time that students are nearby their friends, the more the chances that they would be impacted by their friends and learn things from them. In a word, by taking all the reasons mentioned above which are to have a better relationship with friends and also to spend more time with friends, into account, it is high time that experts believed that friends could have more effects on students than teachers could have.
