Life Quality of Patients and Results in Long-term Period of Surgical Treatment of Complicated Diabetic Foot Syndrome. Materials and methods: In open prospective controlled study on 116 patients with complicated Diabetic Foot Syndrome (experimental group) and 30 diabetics without this Syndrome (control group) explored by questioning the Health Related Quality of Life (questionnaires SF-36, Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) and questioning the long-term results in long-term period (6-18 months) of surgical treatment in State district clinical hospital № 1. In experimental group was 40% patients with deep infection, 32% with gangrene, 11% with osteomyelitis, 17% with superficial infection. Surgical treatment included surgical debridement of necrotic tissue, immediate incision and drainage, joint resection or partial amputation of the foot is necessary if osteomyelitis, joint infection, or gangrene are present. Socio- demografic variables were comparable in both groups.
