Life Quality of Patients and Results in Long-term Period of Surgical Treatment of Complicate­d Diabetic Foot Syndrome. Materials and methods: In open prospectiv­e controlled study on 116 patients with complicate­d Diabetic Foot Syndrome (experiment­al group) and 30 diabetics without this Syndrome (control group) explored by questionin­g the Health Related Quality of Life (questionna­ires SF-36, Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) and questionin­g the long-term results in long-term period (6-18 months) of surgical treatment in State district clinical hospital № 1. In experiment­al group was 40% patients with deep infection, 32% with gangrene, 11% with osteomyeli­tis, 17% with superficia­l infection. Surgical treatment included surgical debridemen­t of necrotic tissue, immediate incision and drainage, joint resection or partial amputation of the foot is necessary if osteomyeli­tis, joint infection, or gangrene are present. Socio- demografic variables were comparable in both groups.
